Alps RK40, linear or log?

So I just got this Alps RK40 pot off ebay. However, seller doesn't know whether it is log or linear. I wonder if anyone has experience with this specific pot? Here hoping it is a log one.

You can easily check with a multimeter - set to the ohms range, a linear pot will be just that - 'linear' - set to 12 o'clock - you will see about 50K ohms, set to 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock and the difference to the mid point will be about the same.

It is a log type for volume control use, also known as "black beauty." It also has a loudness tap.
