I've been searching for a few hours, and I can't find anything simple enough for what I need.
I want to make something very similar to these fmod crossovers http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd..._ID=6765&DID=7 The only designs I can find for active type crossovers include opamps and that seems much too complicated. Essentially I want to build a passive low pass crossover for a line out I guess. But since I don’t know the speakers resistance I can’t calculate things like inductors etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction? |

You need to know the input impedance of the following stage (probably an amp in your case). Apply the same equations using this resistance.

You always find it yourself after a post right?
sigh.. http://www.t-linespeakers.org/tech/f...ssiveHLxo.html That’s got just what I was looking for. Basically the same thing that fmod does. |
