Default Looking for good dual LOG. POT. but 1kOHM

Hi! It seems that they are produced in 10k or bigger values. I'm looking 1k or 2k at least. Stereo logarithmic version. Does anybody know where I can get one?

I have never seen a log pot < 10KR

However, log pots are simply made with two sections of track with different resistances. This gives a surprisingly good approximation to a log taper, but with matching difficulties between channels.

It is very easy to simulate a log pot using some fixed resistors. Example:

It seems that loading cursors by low impedances may be detrimental to their life length.

Thanks,

I saw 5k ALPS RK27, but this is still too much resistance.

Current load should not be an issue because power is still dependent on voltage level you are using.

Yes, stepped attenuator should be fine. I actually have got some experience, I've made z-foil series ladder last year but it's 20kohm.

For 1k ladder resistor's resistance range should be like.. about 2 - 300ohm.
Maybe some wirewound resistors could be good? Or maybe some metal film like PRP? I think z-foils are not that necessary in this app. What do you think?
