Hi,
I'm currently looking for a limiter circuit, the available ones seem to be anachronisms (in terms of quality and/or availability, at least), though I haven't got the least experience in that topic. I was thinking about using the BB PGA2310 as a programmable attenuator (in a curcuit where the PGA is already used for volume adjustment). But it seems too slow (in conjunction with a digital control) for the purpose. Is that true? The most promising attempt that survived my search was ESP Project 67. Are there any other quality circuits that you've got experience with. Can someone recommend something, please Background: planning to build a couple of different amps. I'd like to have a high quality, versatile circuit at hand, that I could embedd into my projects. Because I don't like to shut off an amp just because distortion rises - after shutting off, the reason can't be determined any more... Yours, Sebastian. |

Nice device
Yep, another application I thought of: adc input signal conditioning, thanks. But the device is intended for video applications, optimized for the MHz (and up) range. Not that I expect the 698/699 to be bad near DC, but specs in the sub-1MHz-range are almost incomplete in the datasheet... Do you - or does anyone - have experience with such ics in audio applications? I'm planning to develop a project with the knowledge I gain here so I appreciate any hints and recommendations |

I plan to try the OPA698 as a line level audio compressor. I will let everyone know how it works!
