hi, i was told that the adcom gfp 565 preamp uses LT1056 or equal, for line amp and replacing with LT1122 would work, and be an improvement. can anyone verify this? also are there drop in upgrades for the LT1010 buffers? are there any burr-browns that would be an improvement over the LT1056s? i'm still waiting for unit to arrive. i hope this unit has a removable bottom plate also, as some of the other adcom models do anyone know? thanks for any help, crippledchicken

Buy the AudioXpress 2003 and 2004 back-issues. They finally settled on the AD825's -- the LT1056 were prone to failure.
