I have a power transformer that has a 117vac primary
and a 110vac c.t. secondary. The primary fuse is a 6amp. Going through a bridge rectifier in conjunction with two 6800uf/63v caps to give a DC supply voltage of 50 volts+/- no load with a 1.5amp load across the Supply + / - I get 46.5volts+/- and with a 4 amp load across the Supply + / - I get 37.5 volts+/- This power supply came out of a Sunn P.A. twelve, which I can't find any literature on. According to the back panel it would put out 200 watts audio into a 4 ohm load. I don't know what kind of amp circuit it had because it is gone. All that was left was the faders and the power supply. The transformer is a shielded typical squared power transformer that you would see in the early seventies. Does anyone have an idea of what size of mosfet amp I could build that it would power? this link should show a picture of the power supply: http://home.sw.rr.com/edsmix/powersupply1.jpg Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
