Brown diode with 1 black band

It`s a size of 1W resistor, brown and has a black band on one end. I tried to search a google about color codes for diodes but didn`t found it. Can you help?

It`s diy EAR 834P phono preamp, but I realised that it`s not a diode after all. Black band is on the midle of the part and I supouse that this are a 0 ohm conctions betwen circuit points (lack of practice). The parts are so near the filter caps that this was the first and wrong impresion. Thank`s anyway

I bought 30 0 ohm "resistors" a few weeks ago and they are all blue with a black band in the middle.

Can't you measure the part? Use the function to determine anode/cathode on a diode, if it's working both ways you have a resistor .

Hi,

the zero-ohms I always have are also brown with a black band around it in the middle (I usually buy at reichelt)
But just as Devil_Hack says: measure!

I never used this, but it certanly is 0 ohm conection. I mesured it. BTW are this used only for practical reasons, since you can use a piece of wire instade, or there is more about them.
On some PC boards there are similar parts with zero resistance, looking like the litle ferite material resistors. Would that be the same stuf?

They are used because not all robots that solder PCB's can handle bare wire, but do can handle a "0 Ohm resistor".
