They look just like WIMA caps, but are black, it’s written “high end” on them if I recall correctly, and are 250V devices. Visaton sells them as loudspeaker XO parts. My question is - can I use them in a preamp? I'm talking about an Aleph P and I intend to use them as input/output caps. I know I can use them technically speaking but I'm not sure about the sonic results.
Any opinions? Thanks |

They are only labeld and you can use them everywhere.

These Visaton MKP-series are really good (not MKT!). They are a foil polypropylene cap and appreciablly better than WIMA MKP-.. (WIMA MKP is a metallized film cap). Similar foil caps from WIMA are FKP-series, but there are no large face values of capacity.
