Hey folks, I obviously can tell this is a 17.5uF cap @ 300VAC but could somebody help me with the type (I know it's electrolytic, LOL).

It still measures 17.7uF.

Metalized polypropylene, oil (eccol) filled.
Identical to CSC motor-run caps (commonwealth sprague capacitors)

I have a box of like 10 of these they appear to never have been used.
None of the quick connects have been scratched by use. |

As jacco says, probably motor run/starter caps *or* line power factor correctors.
Same grueling industrial use anyway. Tough guys. |

They were in the box with some power traffo's that were about the size of a softball.
I'm thinking about building a Tubelab Simple P-P with 6CW5's and a couple of these in parallel would get me right to the 47uF I need. |
