Could you get the same results simply by using a clothes iron to heat the laser print while in contact with the PWB?

If you try it as shown - MANY commercial "nail polish removers" no longer contain acetone. (You get the privilege of paying much more for an "environmental friendly formula" that takes twice as much material to do half the job.) You can still get the acetone-based stuff at the more specialized cosmetic and beauty supply shops. You can also get pure acetone at paint and lumber stores, but you'll have to lay out several bucks for a whole gallon of the stuff, and hope you use a pint of it before the rest evaporates out of the container.
