I need some tiny film capacitors for a amp I've been thinking of building. These seem to be very popular with the diy people and I figure that the price the guy is selling for is cheap compared to dealers. It would also last me a very long time. Are there any better choices for power bypass use? If space is a big concern, how would these sound as input coupling capacitors? Reason I ask is because I have seen mixed impressions from people. Thank you. |

Those are Polyester (aka Mylar); maybe suitable
for power supply bypassing, but I wouldn't use them elsewhere.

Hi,

Not me anyway, if you must bypass use at least polyprops for the larger values and polystyrenes for the smaller values. Cheers,
