Can anyone help me on finding the On-Semi replacement part for Toshiba 2sc4793? It's not easy to find 2sc4793 in the US. Thank you.

Hi,
as fas as I know, the 2SC2238 is a good replacement (the 2SC2238 is more common, especially in combination with the 2SA968) Grtz, Joris Recitification: P.S. Woops, I didn't read it very well, you want an on-semi equivalent... I don't know one

Hi again,
I've been searching the tables of ON-Semiconductor, using the datasheet of the 2SC4793: http://www.bmm-electronics.nl/docume...ba/2sc4793.pdf, but I couldn't find a match! Sorry! Grtz, Joris |

I have some 2SC4793. If you want 1 or 2, I can give them/it
to you. If you need more than 3, I'll have to charge you for that. Just tell me your address by private-emailing to me. Praise! be to the LORD! James Yung Praise! Audio |

If you are using 2SC4793/2SA1837 as drivers, you have
some alternatives: 2SC5171 / 2SA1930 also from Toshiba. I like them better because they have high and symmetrical fT = 200 MegaHertz compared to lower and asymmetrical fT = 100 / 70 MegaHertz. I have them as well in 2 months depending on factory schedule. Log on to Toshiba semiconductors for data sheets. |

Acliao,
You can use the MJE15030 from OnSemi in place of the 2SC4793. The complement of this device is the MJE15031. It's pin for pin replacement. These devices have four times the current rating, appreciably more dissipation as well, and are rated at 30MHz. This is not so fast as the 4793/1837, but in practice, and particularly on an audio amplifier, you won't notice the difference as the emitter follower is intrinsically a very fast configuration; the slowest device on an audio amplifier is, by design, the voltage amplifier. Cheers, Hugh |
