Hey all, just wanted to post I found some pretty zippy looking switches I bet could be used in all kinna projects! Wish Id' seen these before building my green pre.

A number of those buttons are types we used in arcade games. The player 1 and 2 start buttons on a Pac Man acrade video game or the shoot buttons on some game. Those would be the multicolor ones near the center of the page. The microswitches snap right in and out without tools. Very sturdy and reliable, but kinda large to put on a amplifier. 1-1/8" mounting hole if I recall. They hold up to rough treatment in the arcades, and I like to use them for footswitches, if I have the chassis depth to handle them. You can stomp on them forever.
Happ controls was, and probably still is, a major manufacturer of such things as those buttons, and joysticks, and things like steering wheel assemblies. |
