I'm quite impressed by ingenuity of this design here: http://www.coasterreview.com/phono/?...ze=725&start=0
This pretty much allows to build a wood chassis and paint it inside to shield (instead of using metal foil or plates). It makes a nice box to house preamp or a DAC. Any ideas what kind of paint can do the trick?

Peter I dont know if this is what your looking for but there is a paint called STEEL-ITE it is heavily impregnated with particles and is very corrosive resistant...we used it extensively in the food industry on anything that had to be painted......you can get it in an aerosol or can....most industrial places carry it.....the finish is brilliant with a spray can

The paint I'm looking for, has to be conductive.

This is fairly standard and used among other places by Advantage as they use plexi for covers (or used before). I think it is copper or bronze paint usually.

------------------------------------------------ EMC Nickel based spray from Farnell ot RS. Not cheap; I'd rather used copper/st steel sheets. |

Ever think of Copper RF shielding tape. It's the same size as duct tape & you can soldier it town to ground traces. Much thicker & better than you will ever get from conductive paint.

I've got both aluminum and copper shielding tapes, as well as mu-metal sheets, but use of paint seems like a more elegant approach. It also shouldn't affect much the properties of wood, if you believe it has any influence on the sound. It is definitely worth trying, also much easier to apply (paint).
The way the whole assembly is done (in the pictures) is quite amazing (at least to me).
