mcintosh 2100 transformer damage in transist

I had a mcintosh 2100 mailed, but it arrived with the transformer housing slighlty off square which I suspect was caused during shipping. A couple of the hold down bolts are loose or snapped, what is invovled in removing and/or re securing these black boxes to the frame again? Lizo

If you suspect damage, you should try to check whether the unit is actually working properly before firing it up.

If you don't check the internals, it might have an internal short somewhere that adds additional damage when plugged in.

Of course it's certainly also a good idea to use additionally a bulb wired in series as current limiter.

But of course I hope that there's only cosmetic damage!
