I am building a log and timberframe cabin. The interior will be all wood with a mid 1900's feel. Part of my dream is an old school stereo but I want it to sound beautiful. This has come up for sale as a starting point
It is an Emerson tube amp with a gerard turntable. I have a couple of questions which could be deal killers 1) is the Emerson tube amp any good? 2) the gerard turntable needs a stylus. Are the available? It would not have to be OEM, just the best possible stylus. 3) I would replace the speakers and crossovers with something outstanding. Does anyone have ideas on where to buy the high efficiency speakers and crossovers? Also, any suggestions would be appreciated. This has the potentail to be something beautiful |
