Sure is, and a heck of a lot easier than soldering 8 individual pins.
Bad news though, the distributor that had them for 4.7 cents each only had 1k pieces at that price (I bought them all). They were leftovers from a 50k buy the company did. They said if I need more, they would be 42 cents each. No way.
