Gold Vs Nickel

Some forums claim there is a difference between the sound of Gold vs Nickel binding posts terminals.

Is this true? I'm looking for real world experience here.

i guess the best way is to buy both and have a listen yourself that way you can be very sure of the answer you get. I know they can cost good moneyas i had to pay for some.

I prefer my sound to come from my loudspeakers, not binding posts (which should remain silent).

I hope you don't have any smt parts in your DAC, preamp, ect - all chip resistors use a Ni barrier layer on the terminal plating

in fact almost all bright Gold over Brass or Copper uses Ni plating barrier layer between the Gold and the base material

If you're going to hyperventilate over this at least ask for comparison to Rh or Pd over solid Silver
