Are there any huge (and if yes then what?) differences between those two? Digikey sells the Panasonic 50uF (part number P9669-ND) for $7.72. ASC 40uF is $19.95 over at Partconnexion. I'll be hooking up three or four of them to obtain larger values and in at least couple of amps, so the cost does play a significant role...
For this particular cap (P9669-ND) they do say 'oil wound type'... Whatever that means...
