Default Real 2SK117 ?

I have two fets each purported to be Toshiba 2SK117, shown in the attached picture. The one on top was bought recently from MCM, and looks a bit similar to the 2SK170s I bought from them a few years ago. I give them the benefit of the doubt for bein real (but older) Toshiba parts. The package on the bottom is from a lot bought from an Asian E-pay seller. It's laser marked - question - does Toshiba use laser marking on their recent msanufacture jfets? I'd like to know if I have the real deal here or a clever fake. The parts in question do at least act like jfets in my tester.
