Free Toroid
I have just got hold of a brand new Toroid... Its a 2x 115v or 230v with 2 x 12v/3.3A output.... Seems a shame to not use it... Anyone got any ideas on what would make best use of such power.
Might even be able to get some more toroids too so might try a few things. |

Pre amp ?
Hi,
Perhaps a tiny preamp? With a huge PSU  I've seen this before so why not give it a try? There are plenty on this forum too. Just my 2 cents. Audiofanatic

Hi
if you can get three more you could wire two in series to get 24-0-24 Vac. would work out just nice to power a couple lm3886 or similer with tow torroids per channel. Of course that is asumming they would be the same make and model of torroids |

Might be useful with some of the ~12V chips meant for car stereo's and such.

Like the idea of getting 3 more... I have just got a stereo and 2 mono boards from chipamp for the 4780... maybe if i get 1 more toroid i can do the stereo one coz it only has one chip to power up.
If I can get a few more maybe i can trade em for the bits I will need
