Okay, the title pretty much says it all. It is one of the driver transistors in an old power amp, and I need to either find somewhere I can purchase one without paying huge amounts for freight, or ideally an equivalent transistor that is easier to source. If I end up using an equivalent transistor with similar specs, I will replace both transistors (only one channel is blown) to make sure the amp runs evenly in case the replacement has a slightly different hFE etc.
Datasheets on this device are readily available on Google just by searching the pat number. If anyone reading this happens to have one or two spare they could sell me then send me a PM (I have paypal). Any help would be appreciated, I have managed to buy all other bits needed and am currently stuck waiting for this one transistor. Thanks in advance |

I've got a couple of replacement books. The Sony semiconductor replacement handbook states 2SD809-F as a replacement. The Japanese transistor manual lists 2SD600 (SANYO), 2SC4793 (TOSHIBA), 2SD667 (HITACHI), 2SD1859 (ROHM). Please check the pin layout of each replacement, they might be different.
Please make sure you have not the -A verison (i.e. 2SC1567-A), for which only 2SD1857 (ROHM) is listed as a replacement. However, the original 2SC1567 can be found on ebay from Little Diode, which is a realiable seller from the UK. I used them several times. Some of the mentioned replacements can be found with them as well. |
