Am rebuilding a vintage amp. Anyone know where to obtain larger type nylon insulating bushes for TO3 transistors (in UK) which as far as I can remember were standard about 30 years ago. The ones on sale now are too small and nearly disappear through the hole in the heatsink. The ones I am looking for measure approx 9.5mm large diameter while the part that sits through the heat sink is 6.2mm outside diameter and the centre hole through the bush takes a 4BA screw (3.6mm diameter).
Can't find any reference to them on web so worst case may need to improvise.

These may be available from your local distributors it they carry the brand "Eagle Plastic Devices". Look under "screw insulators". Other manufacturers that may have suitable items are RAF, and Keystone Electronics. You may be able to find nylon bushings that are the correct size, but are too long and can be shortened to fit. An alternative could be simply a piece of Teflon tubing that's cut to fit.
