Sorry to be a total noob
I’m starting my first DIY Audio project; I have followed the links on here to http://tangentsoft.net/audio/cmoy-tutorial/parts.html#req And I’m looking at the parts list .. so the first on the list is 220 µF/ 35 V electrolytic capacitor, radial leads Now I have found something similar on the CPC site , and as its only 6 miles away I thought it should be my first port of call, but I didn’t find anything that went up 220 µF , so I take it the one below is nothing like the one needed for the build ? Also this was 1.3 ohm .. I noticed that there was a whole list of ohm ratings how much does this alter the part ? http://cpc.farnell.com/_/cb1v226m2lcb/capacitor-tant-22uf-35v/dp/CA05701 Description · CAPACITOR, TANT 22UF 35V · Capacitance:22µF · Capacitance Tolerance:± 20% · Capacitor Application:General Purpose · Capacitor Case Style:Radial Leaded · ESR:1.3ohm · Lead Spacing:5mm · Operating Temperature Range:-55°C to +125°C · Voltage Rating:35VDC · Body Diameter:9mm · External Length / Height:14mm · Impedance:1.3ohm · Impedance Frequency:100kHz · Impedance Temperature:20°C · Lead Diameter:0.5mm · Leakage Current:6.1µA · No. of Pins:2 · Operating Temperature Max:125°C · Operating Temperature Min:-55°C · Package / Case:Radial · Series:MCCB · Terminal Type:Radial Leaded · Termination Type:Radial Leaded · Tolerance +:20% · Tolerance -:20% · Voltage Rating VDC:35V |

That 220µF/35 V is an electrolytic capacitor and not tantalum. Tantalum should not be used.
