Default Question on vintage caps

I've recently come into a nice stash of vintage caps.
Maybe 200-300 of NOS Sprague "vitamin -Q" and I've got to know if they are really everything people say they are? And the prices I've seen asked for them and I'm astounded!
Should I hang on to them for future projects or sell them, and what is a fair price?
I really like the idea of "vintage" caps- but I can't decide if it's a asthetic or a truly better sound.
Thanks in advance for any input.

If it was me and the "stash" is a good size, I'd probably pick out the values that I'm reasonably certain I'd use over the next couple of years and sell the rest.

In their day those were definitely very high quality caps. Somebody else would have to tell you how they stack up against more recent products. My unsubstantiated guess is that comparable performance is readily available at prices similar to what they might sell for, or maybe less. So unless you have a nostalgic attraction to those caps (and there's nothing wrong with that), or have convinced yourself that they do indeed provide more pleasing sound reproduction, I don't see a solid justification for holding on to them.
