very interessting. do you feel this or did you measure them in any way?

I dont have equipment to measures it. The feeling comes from a first brrrrr on the speakers on switching on the GC, but also from some hiss audible inbetween tracks.

in case it is audible, and you don´t have any oszilloskope, a software scope with your PC soundcard should be enough. I thought the oscillation expected may be at some 10 times the audible frequencies.

A good option for the much used MUR860/MSR860;

The Fairchild FFP15S60STU 600V/15A TO-220-2L diode

is about 1,3EUR/1,5USD
and available on Mouser/Farnell/RS-components/Digikey.
This diode is a current production Stealth II diode with soft recovery, very low Qrr, Irr

Pure on price/specs seems to be a fine 600V/15A diode for your money
