Hi all,
I'm creating a smallish sattellite speaker based upon the SEAS L12, a new 4.5" coax they've recently introduced. The enclosure is essentially spherical in form and the small diameter port - in my estimation so far - looks like it will need to be curved inside the 2.5 litre enclosure. The rough build prototype I've have now utilises a an 18 mm diameter port, 9 cm in length which juts outside of the enclosure My question is, small curved ports like this with flared ends are not available. Any ideas what to use? Thanks in advance. Lastly, the internal volume that a port displaces, is this the total volume of the port (as if it were a solid object inside the enclosure) or only the wall thickness of the port material? |

Why not just get some 3/4" ID flexible conduit? You can make the flare yourself.

Deduct the total volume of the pipe.
Can you use plastic pipe from the plumbing store and incorporate an elbow? If you can't manage a flare, I wouldn't lose sleep over it. EDIT: I like the link that nightanole added. |
