Store to buy electronic supplies in NC?

Does anyone know if there is an electronics store of some form besides just radio shack or buying stuff online? In NC, I'm ~1hr away from charlotte.

Frys? I know the one out here in San Diego has a pretty robust selection of components. Nothing fancy for the most part but a large number of resistors, capacitors, fets, etc. Mainly NTE brand, but still a nice selection. Much better than radioshack. Otherwise, the online retailers are about it if you don't have any local specialty shops.

newark.com ships out of gaffney, SC. I get 2 day UPS surface service in IN, I imagine you would get 1 day service. I don't imagine they have a willcall counter. Find a friend that has a business that will receive your box, it will save $6 on the freight bill. I'm getting about $7 here because this address used to be a body shop.

I am in Charlotte and if I order by 9:00 PM from Newark, I receive the parts the next day from Gaffney. Great service. Mouser normally takes two days, DigiKey three. Unfortunately, there is no one left in Charlotte.

Get catolog,lol.
I live in Texas now from SC shipping was fast to here and packaged like a pro !!!!

I use Welcome to Electronic Distributing, Inc. for odds and ends. They're in Winston-Salem, NC
