cant be right ....audio signals in telephony are limmited to something like 3KHZ or so ... i wonder though if this is limited by the trafo or other parts of the circiut ...yet again the ratio of winding might also be an issue

600:600 transformers with very narrow bandwidth can behave much wider
when driven by low impedance <600 source into high impedance >600 load.
In this special case, not to your advantage to impedance match...
Assuming you desire the transformer only for balun and isolation.
