that's what I did.
The rotary switch (speaker/earphones) needed cleaning desperately, so I took and opened the mysterious black box. Man, was I dissapointed !
They made us pay all that for the twp connectors, a rotary switch, and two pathetic small transformers with thermal resistors (for safety I suppose) on a PCB!
There is not even a bias voltage. I learned elsewhere that some of them have the static charge on the foil which decayes ower the years, after which you'll need service 'sob*
TWO transformers... *pout*
Well, so much for the mystery...
