Hi there, I have a nearly complete cross-over for my new speaker that I built
this is exactly what I built Parts Express DIY Project
The only problem is I miss the 8.0 mh 18 awg I core inductor, everything is done, enclosure, the cross-over is nearly finish too.
What would be a substitute for this 8.0 mh 18 awg I core inductor since it's the only part I don't have and it's back order for I don't know how long
Thank you , for your help and It's might sound has a easy question, but I don't know about anything about electronic, other than solder this to this and voila.

See your thread is OK now
The inductance is important as it's a crossover network.
Something like an 8.2mH would be OK if you can source one locally.

The inductance matters, but you can use a different coil, it doesn;t have to be the exact same core construction.
If your 8mh #18 is on backorder from PE, ASK them when it will be coming in. If you don't want to wait, look at other 8mh options, heavier wire, different core, etc.
Try other sources like MAdisound maybe.
