The outside dimensions of the screw threads, the distance between legs, and the distance between the back of the mount flange and the leg at the circuit board level would be useful.

Do they need changing? Have you tried switch cleaner?

Hi
I think its nearly impossible to buy them nowdays. The bproblem is the 4th wire that I think is used for loudness in your amplifier. At least its like that in som HK recievers from the 70s. So try and clean them with deoxit or something like that. There are good thread about cleaning pots |

I have already tried to open them but I really don't know how. They have also a wrong impedance (due to age, I think). For example volume pot now is 40k instead of 50k |

No need to open them, just squirt it in through a hole. If you want to open them then just bend back the metal tags but be careful because you may not be able to get them back together neatly.
It is unusual for a pot to reduce in value as they are basically carbon resistors. Maybe just a tolerance issue - they might be 20%? 40K will work fine instead of 50K. |
