Just curious about the prices on the NX at high voltages. Don't these get too close to really good coupling caps like Multicap RTX, etc? Good, as the BGs are, i'd feel more comfortable with familiar caps at this price level. I would be interested in the BGs mostly due to their much smaller size.

cheers

Hi,

Sorry, but what do you mean by Output Caps?

To me those are the last coupling caps in say, a preamp or headphone amp, for instance.

Another place these BGs are often used is at the output of a CDP/DAC where quite often largish values are mandatory.

Are they better sounding than a topquality filmcap?
I doubt it, but surely better than a garden variety electrolytic cap.

Some fans claim them to be better than the equivalent value of a filmcap, they need an enormous amount of time to break in too...

Time will tell, I reckon.

Cheers,;)
