6n6p tubes and where to buy

Advice from those more knowledgable please. I am after a matched pair of 6n6p valves. I am told the real Russian originals are the ones to get. On searching I see lots of what seem to be variants: 6h6p; 6h6p i and various others that seem to be interchanged with what I want. Where and how can I get the valves I want?

I have purchased from both mycomponent and uralspirit with good results. I have avoided the -i suffix, I think it has to do with impulse ratings, but can't say for sure if it operates any differently.

There is no difference between 6n6p and 6h6p.

Gotta love the funny letters when they convert to engrish. 6h6p 6n6p etc. I just get them in 8 packs or more from Ebay NOS.

I still got 6 true 6n6p cccp ones left if you cant find any.


Never did understand matching tubes when they drift after less then 500 hours of there 5-10k life.

I have heard it said that the impulse tube 6N6P-i is the progenitor of the 6N30P. I'll second the recommendation of "uralspirit"; he,Dmitriy Kolevatov,is a real gentleman.
