In a gainclone, I say go for it. Screw them all to a fairly thick metal bar (probably 1/8" or thicker) with thermal grease anywhere metal touches metal, and attach the chips near the center. It doesnt take much cooling for the gainclones so you can get away with it; many people dont even use heatsinks for them if they are using a substantial chassis, they just bolt it right to the panel somewhere. You shouldnt have any problems. Good luck.
