Purchased an inductance/capacitance/ meter from a
shop in Chunam lane (forgot the name of the shop, it is on the left side when coming from Lamington road, selling all kind of tools). Costed Rs 1350/-+VAT, no warrantee. Later after few minutes saw the same meter in Visha Electronics in Rs 950/-+VAT+warrantee. Luckily the guy was professional enough to take it back. I got it finally from Visha. Do not know what to conclude from this...but be careful! Roushon.

In case you like to make your own chasis (as I do
although difficult and time consuming) I purchase aluminum sheets of different thicknesses from the following shop: Pavan Mehta Honesty Steel 35/37 Bapu Khote Cross Lane Gulalwadi Mumbai-400003 Mobile: 9820495404 Tel 022 23461150 They will not cut in small pieces. But you can get it done from `Bombay Cutter' very near to them. Pavan can tell you the direction. A week back I got some sheets cut. Fantastic job in a few minutes, primitive technology they use and very cheap. The cutting was a nightmare for me. Roushon.

Thanks Viki for your contribution. Although we walk around a lane 100
of times it really helps when someone pin point a particular shop for a particular item. Thanks again Regards Roushon.

I had purchased ecc88, and have ordered kt88 tubes. He himself doesn't keep the tubes but will get it from good sources. And rates pretty much good compared to others selling the same. There is this shop Ambee Electronics at proctor rd, Chotani bldg sells ferrite cores for transformers and crossovers. |

Mind it friends Amar Electronics can get you capacitors from Elna, Rubicon, Nichicon, But have to purchase minimum quantity which he said was about 20 to 25 pcs.
I purchased 10,000 uf 100v Capacitors brand Nippon Chemicon these capacitors are as good as nichicon. Has extremely good prices when compared to other shops in lamington rd. I am looking for carbon film resistors does any body know any good place. |
