If you want the convenience of online purchase but do not
mind paying little more then see the following website. It
deals with Farnell (now Element14) parts but you do not
need any VAT or TIN number. So far I have not
purchased from them so do not know about their
services. But as it is related to Kitsnspares of Electronics
for you magazine, it should be good.

I got three toroidals made.

230v primary, 0-33v, 0-33v 5Amp per rail sec. (2pieces

Any reason why toroidals from chandratronics are low priced ? I inquired with them and they quoted the same Rs.900 for one piece. I am building a Mauro Penasa Myref and was looking for a 180-220 VAC 22-0-22 toroidal.

Is the quality decent enough ?

I do not know why cheap. The toroidal is working fantastic
for the last one and half year. There is another source
`Disco Winding', the address is in post number 77
in this thread itself. His name is Jehangir. He seems to
be a very professional guy, but I have not yet got
anything made from him. I ordered for some choke
but he did not find any suitable ferrite ring, so the
order got canceled. You can take a chance.
Toroidal is also there in the website I gave in the
previous post, but expensive.

Roushan, thanks for sharing. I was just trying to estimate his costing method. cause after i have shifted to pune. I am really going short of electronic components. I wish if i could connect with good vendors.

The whole cost would have bit cheaper is procured from digikey. I am not trying to say he has fooled pl. don't take me wrong. I am just trying to find easier and more set ways for buying ( obligations free).

Shipping is expensive for importing directly from aborad and also the custom
people damages things. I learnt it in a very hard way by experience.
