Hi Aucosticraft, I would like to use the choke in a
mains filter circuit suggested to me by Mooly as in the
following site.

Also the same choke will be used on the ac sec out
of a transformer (15vac) for a power supply of a
phono preamp.

toroidal ferrite
Ask CK electronics, 13,Old Hanuman Bldg, Kiln Lane Off
Lamington Road. The guy gave me many good advices.
Also I remember going to a shop for toroidal transformer
and saw he was dealing with toroidal ferrite. Do not
remember the shop name, but it is on the first floor of the
building exactly opposite Chandratronics, Chunam lane.
Or you can ask Jehangir in the Disco winding, address is
in post number 77 in this thread.

I am getting amp chassis made from a local metal sheet worker.Front and back will be of 6mm aluminum, rest of the body of 1.5mm ms sheet
I need some final things to complete.
Potentiometer for input selection and volume.
Good quality terminals for Signal input and speaker output to be attached on backplate.
Does any one have pcb layout for multiple signal inputs.
I am looking for some good tube preamp design.

I just got some Murata Chokes and some 3amp Schottky
diodes from them delivered at my home. They were
helpful to get the chokes from Singapore although they do
not deal with it. They have warehouses in Singapore and
Hong Kong. So you can contact Mr. Nayak and even
tell my name `Roushon' that I referred. My only
intention is to help my friends here. I do not intend to get
any special treatment from them for this referral ( I do not need also).
In the beginning they were not at all interested in
taking my order, but some more emails from my side
changed their mind.
So go ahead and order any exotic parts you need....

deals with Farnell (now Element14) parts but you do not
need any VAT or TIN number. So far I have not
purchased from them so do not know about their

Any reason why toroidals from chandratronics are low priced ? I inquired with them and they quoted the same Rs.900 for one piece. I am building a Mauro Penasa Myref and was looking for a 180-220 VAC 22-0-22 toroidal.
Is the quality decent enough ?
I do not know why cheap. The toroidal is working fantastic
for the last one and half year. There is another source
`Disco Winding', the address is in post number 77
in this thread itself. His name is Jehangir. He seems to
be a very professional guy, but I have not yet got
anything made from him. I ordered for some choke
but he did not find any suitable ferrite ring, so the
order got canceled. You can take a chance.
Toroidal is also there in the website I gave in the
previous post, but expensive.
