Suggest you visit the metal market where they sell metal sheets in retail , bare wires etc. They all seem to have thin copper sheets here. However the copper band is used only as an electrostatic shield. The inner non closed band between primary and secondary would effectively reduce noise coming in from the mains side. It will need to be connected to the ground scheme.
Do you guys really have so much trouble with noise on the mains ? Unless you are just trying to make the ultimate supply !

Where are you located ? Copper sheet is a standard product. You can buy it from the metals market, or you can buy it from the guys who supply the motor/transformer rewinding industry.
I don't understand why people are having trouble buying copper sheet.
That is because every one is trying to find it in diyaudio.com
. One has to hit the road which I am going to do in a couple of weeks and then post here the
address, telephone of the retailer....
