Hi,
Does anyone know of the best equivalent for bc159 and bc149 for use in a microphone preamplifier? The're both obsolete now and have been for some time. Some are selling on ebay for £2.50 each which is pretty steep for a transistor. Cheers Rob |

BC550 and BC560 are modern equivalents. SMD versions are BC850 & 860.

G'day all, yes I concur with the BC550 and BC560 as well. Actually the old humble BC549 and BC559 are pretty good too. Regards, Felix.
