Toroidal Transformers

I have two huge toroidal transformers that i took out of an old 300 watt amp. I have no idea what the ratings are on them... is there is any way i could find out the vA number on them? I would love to be able to use them for something. Can someone help?

hook up your ammeter and a dummy load (resistor) and see where the voltage drops and you can pretty well tell how many amps they will conduct also if you give us some dimensions and secondary voltages we could probably tell you the approximate rating

There was nothing on the amp... the thing sounded like crap. There is nothing on the transformers except ugly yellow wrapping.

The dimensions of the toroid?

115 x 70 mm = 300 VA (approx.)
135 x 70 mm = 500 VA (approx.)
