The left channel of of my Denon receiver DRA335R intermittently has no sound. I have identified the problem is the relay DH2TU, which connects to the speaker terminals. If I knock on it, I could make it work for a while and then no sound again. The right channel work normal all the time. I wonder if I need to replace the relay, or I can open it up the fix it or some other parts turn off the left channel of the relay. Which vendor sells this kind of relay? Thanks keffan

It is sometimes possible to repair a relay by cleaning the contacts. It's also easy to knock them out of alignment so that, at best, only one channel will work.
Best to get a new relay. They don't cost much, although as you seem to realize, finding the exact part may be an exercise in frustration. If you can find one with similar specifications, coil voltage and resistance and current rating, you only have the project of making it fit. It doesn't have to be a perfect fit; you can even tie it to the board with a cable tie or glue and run wires, whatever it takes. |

The relay is made by DEC; see the web site at ?????????????DEC. Look for the datasheet for the DH series.

Also... check that fault is not poor soldering on relay pins or associated circuitry if it responds to tapping... it may not be the relay.
