Default Help with DIY Mains Conditioner / Filter

Hi all

I am attempting to assemble a mains filter from this web site



Building a mains conditioner.

Trouble is that I cannot find parts for Q1 and Q2 ,

Can anyone help and advise if this part is correct or even close

No, that part is not even close. Q1 and Q2 are in the signal monitoring section where the voltage delivered to Q1, 2 is limited by ZD1 to 12 volts. Q1 and Q2 are bipolar NPN transistors according to the diagram and are not NMOS transistors like your parts link. You need a low voltage small signal NPN transistor something like a 2N3904.

parts placement.PNGYou can see from the parts placement diagram for your mains conditioner that Q1 and Q2 are a T0-92 package like the 2N3904.

I was working solely from the part number??? Cleary wrong

It looks like a interesting project so very grateful for your expertise and the advice for a newbie!
