Hi all
I am attempting to assemble a mains filter from this web site Building a mains conditioner. Trouble is that I cannot find parts for Q1 and Q2 , Can anyone help and advise if this part is correct or even close http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/data...x/FS40SM-6.pdf Any help would be great |

No, that part is not even close. Q1 and Q2 are in the signal monitoring section where the voltage delivered to Q1, 2 is limited by ZD1 to 12 volts. Q1 and Q2 are bipolar NPN transistors according to the diagram and are not NMOS transistors like your parts link. You need a low voltage small signal NPN transistor something like a 2N3904.

parts placement.PNGYou can see from the parts placement diagram for your mains conditioner that Q1 and Q2 are a T0-92 package like the 2N3904.

I was working solely from the part number??? Cleary wrong It looks like a interesting project so very grateful for your expertise and the advice for a newbie! What’s your thoughts on this project? |
