Low noise jfet 2sk3557
 

Looking for more info about, possible experience with, or measurements of the 2sk3557 from Sanyo. The data sheet claims ultra-low noise, low capacitance, and high gm. Wonder how it compares to bf862 for instance.

Specs including Ciss and noise are similar to BF862.
But good to know one can buy direct, even though USD3- for a SOT23 JFET !!

digikey has them for 0.85CDN dollars which is a lot more than what the bf862 costs. Not worth it, indeed.

I have been looking for it 2 years ago, including trying to source from Japan, to no vail.
All of a sudden, you manage to name 2 sources.

Sanyo direct was non-existent then, and DK did not have it.
Now even Farnell has it, and is cheaper than DK for a change (at least in the EU) and almost same price as BF862.
But then both of them are Rank 7, which is just the same as BF862. And I was looking for Rank 6 (more friendly Idss).

Another one I was trying to find was 2SK771 Rank 4, equally unobtainium.
Also 2SK3666 Rank 4. Rank 3 is available at DK.

Also lower Vds and Power dissipation. However you could always cascode I suppose.

Yes but that's Rank 5. I was looking for Rank 4 (lower Idss).
DK has what SanyoDirect offers, nothing else.
