Can someone indentify this connector an tell me a code or place to buy it?
I know that Panasonic use this.

Is it a connector to a LCD panel, via a flexible cable consisting of flat copper conductors sandwiched between plastic?

it's called a ribbon connector
dimensions?
pin and cable spacing?
surface mount or thru hole?

If it's the micro surface mount probably not too DIY friendly. what part needs replacement? perhaps order assy from a service parts place
