General opinion of 4066 audio switching IC?

Hi all. Whats the forums general opinion of the sonic attributes of this "audio switch" IC? Especially older versions. Is this something to be avoided. Is it sonically "neutral"?

They're actually pretty good, if used correctly. Their advantage is higher voltage than all the 5V parts and very low capacitance. But the fets inside are pretty unlinear, which is fine as long as they're loaded with minimum 10 Kohm, preferable 100 Kohm or more....

Btw, Quad used them in some of their old preamplifiers, I think either the model 33 or 34.

Thanks Soren. Now I have to rethink whether I want to change them out on this amp. Its an old Kenwood KA-500.
