Metal disc for toroid mounting, help!

Hi all,

Does anybody know where I can get metal disc for toroid power transformer mount? Last time I acquired used toroidal power transformers and rewound it, but they don't come with mounting assembly. Many thanks in advanced

Have a local welding shop or metal shop cut you one.

Hi okkyn;

Why don`t you use a pcb? Usually DIYers have some older boards that didn`t etch well.
Strip the copper off and cut it into the desired form.Drill a hole in the middle and fix it.
Should work for small to medium toroids.

Thanks Arne, but this is huge toroid (500VA). I think I have to be creative, find something from metal workshop..
