Hi Folks.
Working with a sick SX-950 ![]() I would appreciate some advice on suitable replacements for 2SB557/2SD427. Ideally, I would like to match or exceed the original spec. I've done a bit of research and came across MJ21193/94. They seem pretty popular. I'm curious how they sound and hold up compared to the originals. Then theres 2ST5949/2ST2121 which look great, except typical ft=25 MHz. These would seem too fast by a long stretch. Can we slow them down without too much sacrifice? What other options are readily available? I've searched the forums, but nothing new to discover there. Thank you. ~fixit |
