Hammond chassis?

In the pics i'm viewing, the top of the aluminum chassis' appear to have etched lines running along the lenth of the edges, and in the corners? Whats up with that? If thats the case it would be unacceptable.

I've noticed them also... just assumed they were manufacturing marks left by the machines that folded or spot-welded the aluminum. Since I sandblast and paint my chassis with a hammertone-finish paint, I ignore them. If you're not going to paint yours, you might be able to use some metal polish to get rid of them. Or try BUD chassis, although I seem to remember seeing similar marks on theirs, too.
