Dear all,
I have found some very good looking Elna Cerafine 100uF+100uf / 500V capacitors, that a friend gave me for some tube project.
The caps were used for around 5 years on an Ongaku replica he had, they look like new on the outside, but can some one tell me the expected average life of these? I think they worked around 1.500hours.
Many thanks and regards,

It's all a guess at this point, but in all likelihood as long as they were not subjected to excessive ripple or heat they could last many more thousands of hours. I used a fair number of cerafines commercially and not one has yet failed in the 10yrs since I stopped manufacturing.
What a nice gift!
